I was hesitant about this flavor, it sounded odd. Upon first taste, I was pleasantly surprised! They are predominately a peppermint flavor, but there are certainly notes of sweet honey. The sweetness isn't overpowering, but does tone the mint down a bit. I don't find these to be as "curiously strong" as regular peppermint Altoids. I like these as an alternative to regular mint flavors, these changes things up a bit while still delivering some mintiness.

Altoids Cool Honey do freshen breath a bit, but that freshness doesn't linger. I don't like to have the sugar on my teeth either, so I find these to be best after a meal, if I plan to brush my teeth soon after.

I don't like that these contain artificial flavors, but at least they are made with sugar versus high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, or artificial sweeteners.

I enjoy these mints from time to time, and the tins have great uses after the mints are gone.

I think Altoids make a nice little gift to add to a gift basket, stocking, or whatever. They are individually wrapped in plastic for freshness.

I ended up buying these because of a store coupon at a local drugstore. They were the only flavor left as all the other flavors had been snapped up at the beginning of the sale. To me they are better than the original Altoid mint which is a bit too strong tasting for me. These are just right with the "curiously strong" flavor. They are cool honey, but the honey taste is very faint as it is a bit over powered by the "curiously strong mint." -- Minty, but where's the honey?
